Premier Inn
near the station in the city centre was the meeting place around midday. The afternoon saw us walking round the canals until we found a pub for a rest.

On Saturday evening found a French restaurant, as usual too much wine was drunk requiring Chris to be carried and driven home..

The next morning Chris had breakfast and was not seen again until the evening.

A lesson in how to deal with unruly customers !

We took a water taxi ( bargain at £1 for a 15 minute trip ) to the Royal Armouries.

The Royal Armouries were an even bigger bargain as free entrance.!

The Armouries was excellent with a show/demonstration every hour which was very good.

The image shows a demo of a two handed broadsword in use. A similar scene can be experienced on the streets of Leeds late Saturday night.

Sunday evenings meal was at Whitelocks Ale House.
Whitelocks is Leeds oldest pub and the traditional roast dinner was excellent.

A ravenous group at Whitelocks Ale House
Monday was a bit of a disaster when we discovered that pretty much everything in Leeds shuts on Mondays.

We had intended to go to the industrial museum, after an hours' walk along the canal it was closed !
Caught a bus back to the station where most went home around midday.
Mike Keith and Steve had a later train to catch so killing time in Kirkgate Market and then to Wetherspoons at the station.
SHOCK beer was more expensive in Leeds than back home !

Great to see so many OLD faces still around. Hopefully we can enjoy more trips in the future.
