Travelodge York Central is new and it shares the plot with a large and busy Wetherspoon - cheap booze and breakfast from 7am.

Evening - almost total occupation of the rather excellent Sitting Pig .

  

      Wall walking, amazingly no one fell off into the unprotected drop.
      Circumventing York - about 2 miles.

On to the National Railway Museum everything from Stevenson's Rocket to Japanese Bullet Train.

      Evening Meal at The Olive Tree
       - very good Mediterranean dishes.

Now a busy day. Visit the animatronic Jorvic Viking Centre, then on to York Minster. Queues too long for the official entrance - entry by the free Groups entrance gave a feel for the place.
And finally the York Castle Museum.
York very busy in the evening resulting in a two hour wait to be served at the Lucia Wine Bar and Grill another excellent meal despite the wait.

     All in all a very good choice of venue - weather very fine and warm throughout.
